Our story (concept)
About Chai Theory
Chai Theory is a café and tea-bar idea built around one belief: the city's best conversations happen over a hot cup of chai.
From roadside cutting chai to a seat of your own
Kolkata already knows how to do chai: clay cups, crowded benches and arguments that go on for hours. Chai Theory takes that spirit indoors, adds a proper chair, clean washrooms and a menu that goes beyond biscuits.
Students come for the bun maska. Office crowds come for the filter coffee and a working table. Families come on weekends for kathi rolls and mishti doi. Everyone stays for the second cup.
Stock photoHow we brew
- 1
Leaf
Strong CTC Assam for kadak chai, Darjeeling for the lighter pots.
- 2
Spice
Ginger crushed to order. Cardamom, clove and pepper ground in small batches.
- 3
Boil
Milk and tea simmered together until the colour turns a deep chai brown.
- 4
Pour
Into a clay kulhad, a glass, or your own cup if you bring one.
What we care about
Fair to the wallet
A good cup of chai should not feel like a treat you save up for.
Local first
Kolkata snacks and seasonal Bengal flavours like gondhoraj and nolen gur.
Less waste
Clay cups, paper bags and a small discount if you bring your own cup.

A note about this website
This is a concept project created by DNexura Digital Agency for its portfolio. Chai Theory is not a real business. The story, menu, outlets and images are sample content written to show how a real café site would work.
